Tangi Key & Lock’s Old Strip Mall
N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond LA
In 2001 he partnered with Jim of Cherokee Lock Works off of W. Thomas in Hammond. He would later buy out Cherokee Lock and fully re-brand it into what is now known as Tangi Key & Lock Co. He stayed in the W. Thomas location until around 2005 when Hurricane Katrina hit. In the following weeks he would start construction of the strip mall located on N. Morrison Blvd across from the Roger’s Ready Mix.
After construction of the strip mall, he ran into the sale of a commercial property in his hometown. A large warehouse located over the tracks in Independence, LA. For years he rented this warehouse to a local graphics and sign business.
In 2016 after the sale of his old strip mall, Steve had two options. Downsize his business and work out of his van, or move to his commercial property in his hometown of Independence, LA.
